I ship to the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and many more countries every day via USPS Air Mail. Product costs (in $US) are the same and shipping costs are only slightly more than for my USA customers. Currency conversions are done automatically. It usually takes from 5-10 days to arrive. Germany prohibits the import of vitamin products. To be sure, check with your local postal service for more information.

Shipping is usually done by US Air Mail, Priority Mail or Express Mail. Other services can be used in special cases.

Oscon is classified as a dietary supplement. FDA regulates dietary supplements under a different set of regulations than those covering “conventional” foods and drug products (prescription and Over-the-Counter). The dietary supplement manufacturer is responsible for ensuring that a dietary supplement is safe before it is marketed. FDA is responsible for taking action against any unsafe dietary supplement product after it reaches the market. Manufacturers must make sure that product label information is truthful and not misleading. FDA’s post-marketing responsibilities include monitoring safety, e.g. voluntary dietary supplement adverse event reporting, and product information, such as labeling, claims, package inserts, and accompanying literature. The Federal Trade Commission regulates dietary supplement advertising.

Oscon is produced in the Los Angeles area of FDA approved ingredients in an FDA inspected Facility. It is NAFTA approved for export to other North American countries, which provides preferential tariff treatment.

There have been no reported side effects when taken as directed in many thousands of cases. It should be noted that for maximum safety and efficacy the type of ingredients is just as important as the dose. The only “Theoretical” drug interaction is that vitamin E may potentiate the effects of “blood thinners” like Plavix®
and Coumadin®/warfarin. This has been stated, but never demonstrated to have actually occurred. These drugs are used in controlling clotting in patients with cardiovascular problems, and almost never in young patients.

The normal course of events with Osgood-Schlatter, Severs Disease or Ischial Apophysitis is for a noticeable reduction in pain in 5 days, a major improvement in two weeks, and a full recovery in 30-60 days in over 90% of cases in adolescents. It can be quicker, or in some rare cases take longer.

The dosage of both E and selenium are well within the safe ranges established by the USA NIH (National Institutes of Health). If you need more specific information, just ask.

Oscon is not a pain reliever, it actually appears to provide the “keys” to helping the body heal apophyseal injuries by itself by breaking the inflammatory cycle that goes like this: Injury>inflammation>edema>weakening>reinjure. Repeat.

Usually, because they are the “smooth & slippery” soft gel capsules, there is little problem with swallowing. If there is, the capsule may be pierced and the contents mixed with a variety of foods (peanut butter, honey, jam, chocolate syrup, etc.), for people that have difficulty with swallowing “pills”. It can also be mixed with yogurt or other viscous liquids like shakes or smoothies, but not juice or other thin liquids. I just chew them up and dispose of the shell, but that may be an acquired taste. Hope that solves the problem for you. There are no active ingredients in the shell.

Oscon has no effect on growth. Because Osgood-Schlatter and Severs Diseases only happen while bones are growing, some have asked if it might inhibit growth. The answer is absolutely not!
